Training to Train – T Minus 4 Days
With four days to go before my marathon training schedule begins I wanted to get a decent 5 mile run in. For any of you in the northeast you know it has been extremely cold lately. Tonight it was -2 degrees with the wind chill.
I felt pretty good for the first 3 miles. It was kinda like Rocky IV when Rocky was training out in the middle of the snow in Russia. I felt rad. After that though, when my eyelashes started freezing together, I starting thinking that it might be a good idea to curl up in a little ball and take a nap for a few minutes in a snow bank. I didn't actually do it and made it home in one piece, but it was by far the most miserable run of the year.

Running – 2009
So its January and that means its time for me to start running again. The goal this year is to run a marathon. Since I don't really use my website for anything, I think I'm going to use it to track my progress and training for the run. It should be exciting. I'll try to update a couple of times a week (at first I'm thinking after every run, but I'm not sure I'm willing to commit to that yet) to let everyone know how I'm doing.
